I LOVE being a GIRL Aunt!

This post is completely ALL about my favorite little nieces, Mady and Ashley.

Being a boy mom and all, I do not get to do ANYTHING girly with the kids. They despise shopping. No way would I ever get them into a doll store. No dress up. No make up. No dancing. Nada. Zip.

The closest I have gotten is Dylan. His favorite color used to be Pink. Not so much anymore.

While I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a boy mom, lucky for me I get my girl action with my two awesome nieces!

Ashley just turned 8! She had the cutest little Skating Birthday Party. It was so fun! I got to help with the decor table. She wanted all Zebra and Pink. It was so fun to put on my pink thinking cap!

She had an amazing little birthday party! Look at this big beautiful smile!

The following weekend after her party we all headed to St. Louis for some AAU Basketball. She wanted to go to the American Girl Doll Store for her birthday, so I decided to bring along my other niece, Mady, for the ride.

And I literally mean ride. I have anxiety first of all and I never ever drive. Justin had already left town, so I drove to St. Louis by myself. No adults. With three children. I have to say I did pretty good for never driving except that I had a minor panic attack going over the MLK Bridge and my body went numb. No joke. But we made it all in one piece. Hallelujah!

While we were in St. Louis we headed out to my Dad's for some visiting time.

He has some amazing natural light that comes in his huge windows in the living room, so I took full advantage of that and my niece/model at the same time. Beware. I am about to bombard this post with pictures just because I could not pick one!

I mean, seriously. Was I right? Or was I right? Isn't she just beautiful? Eeeeeek. I love when she comes and stays with me!

Later that afternoon we headed out to the American Girl Doll Store. Which was totes fun. I left wanting my own doll.

Both girls got their dolls' ears pierced.

Mady's doll, McKenna, got her hair did.

And I of course took a bazillion pictures.

What a super, fantastic weekend I had with these two little girls.

See, I am totally okay with never having a little girl of my own. I have these two to keep the girly things in my life and it's even extra special when I do get to do things with them!

Whew. Now that I have all pictures edited, saved, and uploaded to Shutterfly, I can move onto my next task before vacation which is cleaning the house. Yay.

Peace out for now, blog...
