Drew's Christmas Program & Christmas in Carterville

Tis' the Season for lots of Christmas activities!

Drew was so excited for his Christmas Program this year because he had a part to be a King!

I may or may not miss when all these Christmas Programs are over! Haha.
But, it's still fun to watch him up on stage singing.

We also took the boys to our town's celebration of Christmas with Christmas in Carterville. I say it every year, it is my favorite thing to do in this town.
I just love everything about Christmas and really really enjoy this celebration in our town.
It's become a tradition for us and the boys get excited every year to go.

There's so much to do, but the boys favorite is writing their letter to Santa and putting it in the big red mailbox!

Drew was pumped to tell Santa all he wanted for Christmas. He's got a list y'all!
We thought we had Dylan persuaded to talk to Santa when he got to him, but instead he buried his face and I had to tell Santa that he wanted a "fishing boat and pond" for Christmas.

By the way...still worried how Santa is going to pull that one off! Haha.

I just love celebrating the holidays!!!

Baking with Mommy..

Once the word "Thanksgiving" is spoken in our house, the boys are asking if we can make some Pumpkin Pie.
It's one of their favorite things to do with me around the holidays!

They get so into it. They are so sweet. They take turns measuring things out and stirring. It is a memory that I wish always cherish.

They love to bake anything really and are always asking to help cook.
But something about always making sure they help me with the Pumpkin Pie each year is a tradition that I want to keep doing for many many more years to come!
Family traditions are so so so important to me. I want to be sure I always continue the simplest things things like baking a Pumpkin Pie together...

Hunting with Grandpa

It was that time of year again! That time where the kids spend the day hunting with Grandpa!
My boys LOVE to hunt and wish they could do it more often.

They had a countdown going and it was so sweet to see how excited they were!

They ended up getting a deer and were so excited!
My Dad sent me a video of them trying to drag the deer.
It was so cute?!?! (That kinda sounds weird to say. Hahaha.)

I love this tradition they started with my Dad years ago. Something they will always look forward to!
