Derrty 30

You only turn 30 once.
It's a big year. Kind of sickening. Like your 1/2 way to 60. Which is like your almost 1/2 way to retirement. However, I feel amazing. 30 sounded so old when I was younger.
Now that I'm here, it ain't so bad.

I always said I never wanted to have kids after I was 30 either. But here I am, 30, and all I have to say about that is "never say never." I feel like I have a good 10 more years before I start feeling too old.

I am usually not much on birthday celebrations, however, I did know I wanted to have a 30th birthday party bash with DJ, food, and lots of dancing!!! We have a Halloween party each year which is always a blast and this year the party fell the night before my birthday, so what better way to double up on the partay fun!

It was everything I could have hoped for! Just a fun night dancing the night away with my family and my closest friends. Nothing better.

My boys were so excited for Mommy to have a birthday party. Drew was like "What?!! There's going to be a DJ?!" He loves to get his spinarooni's on, on the dance floor. AND this was our first costume party as a family!

They got to help me blow out my candles. And can I just say...I almost got a little emotional when people were singing Happy Birthday. I held back the tears. It was just a special moment to have all the closest people in my life right there with me celebrating.

I did not do a costume contest again this year. I know. I know. I'll bring it back next year. I promise.

Anywho. There would have been no doubt in my mind that my mother would have won. I think my chin dropped to the floor when she walked through that door.

I asked her to keep it PG and keep herself covered. Well, she covered herself alright. PG? Not so much.

Then they danced to "I'm too sexy..."
Hilarious!

Oh my. Mother. Never know what she is going to do.

She did get me a beautiful birthstone ring for my birthday. So gorg.

My dancing-queen-pop it-lock it-drop it bestie decided to bless me with my first (and last) lap dance.
I have never felt so violated in my life. Hahaha.

I could not have any better of a time. The whole night was just a blast.

I am like the suckiest dancer on earth. Like, I just can not dance. But I sure did have a whole lot of fun trying!

My husband even danced with me and he never ever ever ever dances. That lasted like two seconds.

I did not want the night to end.

I wanted it to last all night long.

I loved looking through the pictures from the night. Half of them were so blurry from us dancing...

We wobbled a good three times.

We laughed so hard.

Aren't those pictures the best?
The ones where it is just a pure honest moment that shows just how much fun you are having?

We danced our hearts out.

I usually get a picture of each couple every year and I totally forgot to do that this year! I'm so sad. Major tradition fail on my part.

I wish someone would have told me my wig was falling off in some of these photos! Ha.

Just a few more of my favorite candids from the night...

Thank you all who came out to celebrate! I'm so thankful for each and every one of you! I hope y'all had as much fun as I did and enjoyed everything!

And thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes!!!

I'll leave you with my favorite picture of the night that sums up the birthday barbie girl in action. Another blurry picture...
